"For Club and Country" is an intense trivia puzzle for soccer (also called football) fans.
After downloading the application, they user can select their favorite club or national team.
The user can then start a puzzle which can be solved in two to four minutes.
The puzzle is shown graphically and provides an increasing amount of information about a memorable match played by that team as a timer counts down.
The user tries to identify the memorable match from the information provided as quickly as possible; the sooner they can solve the puzzle the more points are awarded.
To answer the puzzle the user has to enter the name of the opposing team after successfully completing the challenge (or failing when time runs out) the user is shown the correct answer.The application is about solving a puzzle that tests the users power of recollection and ultimately connects them to a specific moment and memory from their years of supporting a favored team.
The information provided as a puzzle is normative in nature and describes a specific past event, in this case a memorable soccer match.
The information includes the positions and names of players who participated and the goal scorers from the match.
This is presented in a graphical format familiar to soccer/football fans and functions like a trivia or pub quiz-style question.
Some background music and sound effects are provided to make the experience pleasant and engaging.
More content and variations on the puzzle will be added over time as well as features like allowing users to share how successfully they solved the puzzle using social media or messaging applications.
